Wilmington police officer shoots 19-year-old Kadir Skinner…

Shooting Wilmington Delaware in Wilmington, Delaware: A 19-year-old man, Kadir Skinner of Wilmington, was shot by a Wilmington police officer near 24th and Jessup Streets. The Delaware Division of Forensic Sciences determined Skinner sustained a single gunshot wound to his upper left buttocks area. After the shooting, an officer on scene transported him to the hospital for medical care. Officers recovered the suspect's firearm, a loaded .45-caliber handgun with an extended magazine, along with ballistic evidence. The incident is under investigation by the Wilmington Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division, Office of Professional Standards, and the Delaware Department of Justice.
