Car Crash Savannah Georgia in Savannah, Georgia: On Thursday around 3:50 p.m., a fatal multi-vehicle crash involving five vehicles, including a commercial motor vehicle (CMV), occurred on the 400 block of Fort Argyle Road in Savannah, Georgia. The CMV struck the rear of a vehicle ahead, partially crossed into the opposite lane, and hit another vehicle; both vehicles caught fire. The CMV then struck the rear of another vehicle, which crossed into the opposite lane and hit a fifth vehicle. Two people were killed in the fires, including 74-year-old Willie Roberson of Statesboro, the CMV driver, and an unidentified rear passenger of the second vehicle hit. Six others were transported to a local hospital by ambulance.
