Car Crash Thomson Township Near Minnesota in Thomson Township near, Minnesota: A single-vehicle crash in Thomson Township near the intersection of Thomson Road and Kangas Road, just south of the Esko exit on Interstate 35, left one man dead and another in critical condition on Sunday. Tyler Nynas, 25, of Barnum, died at the scene. Alexander Wheeler, 26, also of Barnum, was airlifted to Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth and was listed in critical condition at the time of transport. A neighbor reported the crash and said both men were thrown from the vehicle. The Carlton County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
