Car Crash Salem Oregon in Salem, Oregon: Police arrested a 53-year-old Salem man in connection with a crash on the Center Street Bridge over the Willamette River on July 2. The man reportedly drove in excess of 80 mph, slid on the bridge railing, and returned to the roadway, causing a four-car crash that hospitalized one person. He was taken to the Polk County Jail and cited for driving with a suspended license. Salem Fire sent seven units to the scene at about 10:18 a.m., and eastbound traffic on Highway 22 was backed up for two miles.
