Dui Crash Erie New York in Tonawanda, New York: A New York State Police trooper narrowly avoided injury by hopping over a concrete barrier on Interstate 190 in Tonawanda when a pickup truck towing a dolly trailer struck another car, which struck the trooper's patrol car, which struck a car involved in an initial crash. The trooper had been outside the patrol car with emergency lights activated while investigating the separate crash. The pickup truck driver, 34-year-old James Phalen of Alden, was charged with DWI and issued appearance tickets. The crash remains under investigation.
