Car Crash Hancock Maine in Hancock, Maine: A 44-year-old Sullivan man was killed in a head-on crash in Hancock, Maine, just before 8:30 a.m. on Friday. Maine State Police said Jim Hoyt was riding a motorcycle westbound on Route 1 near Washington Junction Road when he crossed into the eastbound lane and collided with a pickup truck. Hoyt was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries. A portion of Route 1 from Thorsen Road to Washington Junction was closed for roughly two hours.
