Shooting Houston Texas in Houston, Texas: Houston Police responded to a shooting call just before noon at the Marriott Residence Inn on Kirby Drive near Old Spanish Trail in southwest Houston. Hotel staff checking a room found a 40-year-old woman dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound along with her 6-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son, both dead from gunshot wounds. HPD Lt. Larry Crowson said the deaths are being investigated as a murder-suicide. The identities of the woman and children were not released.
