Lincoln man killed in head-on crash on Nicolaus Road

Car Crash Canal California in Canal, California: A 61-year-old man from Lincoln was killed in a head-on crash on Nicolaus Road near Canal Road on the afternoon of July 2, 2026. The California Highway Patrol said the man was driving a dark green Toyota Camry westbound when it crossed the double yellow lines into the path of an eastbound white Tesla Model 3 around 3 p.m. The Tesla driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to a hospital. CHP collected both vehicles and planned to download data from the Tesla as part of the investigation, noting there were no independent witnesses.
