Hit And Run Danville Virginia in Danville, Virginia: On July 2 around 8:08 p.m., Danville Police responded to the 200 block of Main Street for a report of an intoxicated male. Richard Omar Morales, 25, of Sharpsburg, Kentucky, was driving a white 2019 GMC Denali recklessly at high speed on Memorial Drive, passed a vehicle on the right, hit a guardrail, and crossed into oncoming lanes, striking a 2013 maroon Kia Optima head-on. The Kia's driver, 23-year-old Brandon Lovelace Martin of Clover, Virginia, was pronounced dead at the scene. Morales was transported to SOVAH Danville for treatment, then arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter, hit and run, property damage, trespassing, assault and battery, and sexual battery, and is held without bond at Danville City Jail.
