Vernon and Brodhead Fire Departments responded, and a local veterinarian, Rock Vet, sedated the horse while crews freed its leg. Firefighters used plywood from their collapse trailer to secure the trailer floor, and the horse was transported to Rock Vet for further treatment before being released to the owner.
