Hit And Run Georgia Today in Georgia: Hall County authorities searched for a pickup truck driver believed to have struck a utility pole on East Hall Road in the early morning hours of July 2, 2026, causing power lines to fall across the roadway. A commercial truck driver later ran over the downed lines around 4 a.m. but was not injured after power crews de-energized the lines. The Hall County Sheriff's Office later announced at 4:45 p.m. on July 2 that the hit-and-run suspect had been located.
