Shooting Jackson Mississippi in Jackson, Mississippi: A shooting inside a home on the 300 block of Queen Alexandria Lane in Jackson, Mississippi on June 27, 2026, killed Keyana Weathersby, 25; her sister Erica Weathersby, 30; and Keyana's 2-year-old son, Camari Givens. Police said the shooting was targeted and potentially tied to a robbery. Four people have since been charged with capital murder: Cornelius Carter, Jordan Carter, Mikala Young, and Devone Modacure, who was arrested Wednesday in Forney, Texas by U.S. Marshals and Texas Department of Public Safety agents and is awaiting extradition to Jackson.
