The home suffered extensive damage and people were trapped inside, requiring the Rockland County Fire Collapse Team to shore up the building and rescue them. Several people were badly hurt and were transported to Nyack Hospital and Westchester Medical Center. The firetruck had been responding to a reported boating accident at the Haverstraw Marina on the Hudson River.
