Elderly Kansas woman killed in SUV rollover on U.S. 169 ramp in Allen County

Car Crash Kansas Today in Kansas: An 80-year-old Chanute woman was driving a 2001 Chevy Tahoe northbound on the 1150th Street ramp to U.S. 169 northbound, three miles northeast of Chanute, when the SUV traveled off the road to the left and rolled onto its top. Her 76-year-old passenger, also of Chanute, was pronounced dead at the scene and was not wearing a seat belt, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol. EMS transported the driver to KU Medical Center.
