Car Crash Links Wisconsin in Links, Wisconsin: An 89-year-old woman from Dalton died following a two-vehicle head-on crash in the Town of Fort Winnebago, Columbia County, Wisconsin on Thursday afternoon at 2:39 p.m. A preliminary investigation indicated an SUV operated by a 22-year-old Portage woman was traveling westbound on County Highway CM while a passenger car operated by the 89-year-old was traveling eastbound. Evidence at the scene showed the SUV to have been left of the centerline, leading to the head-on collision. The 89-year-old was transported to UW Hospital by Med Flight and later died. The road was closed for over three hours during the investigation.
