Car Crash Grand Rapids Michigan in Grand Rapids, Michigan: A 23-year-old man driving an SUV eastbound on I-196 crossed the median and struck a westbound vehicle head-on near the Lake Michigan Drive exit in Grand Rapids around 8 p.m. Wednesday, according to Michigan State Police. One passenger in the westbound vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, two were critically injured and hospitalized, and a 7-year-old boy in the backseat was hospitalized in stable condition as a precaution. The 49-year-old driver of the westbound vehicle was not injured. The cause of the median crossing remains under investigation.
