Woman killed in suspected DUI hit-and-run crash in Lake Mary

Hit And Run Lake Mary Florida in Lake Mary, Florida: Danille Akers of Oviedo was killed in a suspected DUI hit-and-run crash around 11 p.m. Tuesday night in Lake Mary, Florida. Lake Mary police responded to West Lake Mary Boulevard and Wheelhouse Lane and found Akers unresponsive inside a heavily damaged sedan; she died at the scene. A 911 caller reported the other driver had fled, and officers later located the suspected vehicle and driver about a mile away on Forest Boulevard. The driver, identified as 22-year-old O'vante Redding of Longwood, was arrested and charged with DUI manslaughter, leaving the scene of a crash involving death, and vehicular homicide.
