Fall Injury California Today in California: A 31-year-old woman was injured after falling 1,500 feet down Mount Shasta in California while hiking with a group of three novice hikers on Sunday. Weather conditions prevented a helicopter rescue, so three climbing rangers, assisted by the California Highway Patrol, reached her on foot. She was transported to a hospital, where she was reported to be in good spirits.
