Woman dies in head-on crash with dump truck on NC 55 in Cra…

Car Crash Craven North Carolina in Craven, North Carolina: On July 1, a 30-year-old woman was killed in a head-on collision on NC 55 near Dover Road in Craven County, North Carolina. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded at approximately 11:24 a.m. and determined that Daejahnae Natalya Smith of Cove City was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Cruze westbound when she crossed the centerline and struck an eastbound 2006 Peterbilt dump truck. Smith was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Craven County Medical Examiner. The dump truck driver, Tracy Bishop Simpson of Maysville, was evaluated at the scene and released.
