Hit And Run Culpeper Virginia in Culpeper, Virginia: On July 1, 2026, around 9:30 p.m., Culpeper Police were called after a witness reported a gray SUV weaving along Madison Road and striking curbs. The SUV failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of North Street and Orange Road and struck a Ford F-150, then continued off the roadway, crossed a grassy field, and crashed into a tree near the 1300 block of Webster Lane. The driver, 45-year-old Culpeper resident Shanon Fondal, was found unresponsive and was transported to UVA Culpeper Hospital before being transferred to a medical facility in Charlottesville. Fondal, who is also wanted in Texas on DUI-related charges, was charged following the investigation.
