Car Crash Van Minnesota in Van, Minnesota: A 2025 Transit van transporting nine people crashed into a ditch along Interstate 35 approximately two miles north of the I-90 interchange near Albert Lea, Minnesota, around 5:40 a.m. on July 2, 2026. The van was traveling south on the wet roadway when it veered off the freeway. Four occupants, including an infant and a juvenile, were injured and transported to Mayo Clinic Health System Hospital in Albert Lea with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver, 46-year-old Josue Jimenez of Minneapolis, was not injured. The State Patrol reported all occupants were wearing seat belts and alcohol was not involved.
