Shooting Chicago Illinois in Chicago, Illinois: Two people were killed and two others were critically wounded in a mass shooting early Thursday in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood on Chicago's South Side. Police said four people were standing outside in the 7600 block of South Halsted Street when four unknown suspects walked up and began shooting, then fled south through an alley. A 53-year-old woman was shot in the head and a 46-year-old man suffered multiple gunshot wounds; both were taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where they died. Area detectives are investigating.
