Car Crash Seward Highway Alaska in Seward Highway, Alaska: Two people were killed and one was hospitalized after a three-vehicle crash on the Seward Highway near Potter Marsh on Wednesday at about 9 a.m. near mile 116.7. Anchorage Police say a 2006 Volvo traveling northbound crossed into the southbound lanes for an unknown reason and collided head-on with a 2022 Ford Explorer traveling southbound. Both vehicles came to rest in the Potter Marsh area. A 2021 Ford Edge traveling southbound behind the Explorer swerved to avoid the crash and also ended up in the marsh. The drivers of the Volvo and Ford Explorer were pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the Ford Edge was transported to Providence Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The highway was closed for hours and reopened at about 4:30 p.m.
