Two killed in early morning house fire in Evergreen, Alabama
Vehicle Fire Evergreen Alabama in Evergreen, Alabama: Two people died in an early morning residential house fire in Evergreen, Conecuh County, Alabama on July 1, 2026. The fire was reported at approximately 1:30 a.m. at a home off Stowers Timberland Road. Four people were inside the home; two escaped and were taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries. The victims were identified as James Hensley II, 19, and Mark Mostellar, 21, both of Mobile. The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation by the coroner's office, the Evergreen Police Department and the Alabama State Fire Marshal's Office.
