Shooting Owensboro Kentucky in Owensboro, Kentucky: Two people were injured in a shooting on July 2, 2026, in the 600 block of Park Plaza Drive in Owensboro, Kentucky. Witnesses told police a white car and a black car met in a parking lot, where an argument broke out and a man exited the white car and fired one round into the black car. The victims drove away and were pursued south on Frederica Street before turning into a business parking lot in the 3900 block of Frederica Street; both suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were treated and released from Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Suspect Eathan Strifler, 19, of Drakesboro, later turned himself in to authorities in Muhlenberg County and was charged with second-degree assault and first-degree wanton endangerment.
