Car Crash Intersection Minnesota in Cook, Minnesota: A St. Louis County sheriff's deputy was patrolling west on Highway 1 near Cook, Minnesota, when his car was struck by a southbound pickup truck on Samuelson Road around 8 p.m. Officials said the pickup failed to stop at the stop sign on Samuelson Road. The 50-year-old deputy suffered non-life-threatening injuries, while the 20-year-old pickup driver from Orr was taken to Essentia Health in Duluth with life-threatening injuries.
