Topeka man killed in head-on crash on US-24 near Silver Lake

Car Crash Northwestern Shawnee Kansas in northwestern Shawnee, Kansas: A 28-year-old Topeka man was killed and two others were injured in a head-on crash on US-24 highway in northwestern Shawnee County on Wednesday afternoon. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2025 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck traveling eastbound attempted to pass vehicles on the two-lane highway and collided head-on with a westbound Kia Soul. The driver of the Kia was pronounced dead at the scene, while a passenger in the Kia and the driver of the pickup were transported to Stormont Vail Hospital with injuries.
