Three-vehicle crash on US-177 north of Asher kills Yukon man

Car Crash Pottawatomie Oklahoma in Pottawatomie, Oklahoma: A three-vehicle crash on US-177 at Summerwood Lane, just north of Asher in Pottawatomie County, on June 23, 2026, claimed the life of Adam Caldwell, 39, of Yukon. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Caldwell's 2016 Ford Transit Connect was struck by a 1994 Peterbilt dump truck driven by Dorian Flores, 41, of Wanette, after the Peterbilt entered a broad slide while attempting to stop behind a 2023 Subaru Crosstrek driven by Jennifer Appicello, 54, of Shawnee. Both the Ford and Peterbilt caught fire after the collision, and Flores and Appicello were also injured. The accident, which occurred at 1:24 p.m., remains under investigation.
