Socorro police officer hit by alleged drunk driver on Duggi…

Dui Crash Socorro New Mexico in Socorro, New Mexico: Socorro Police Officer Marc Wheeler was hit by a blue pickup truck while en route to investigate a domestic violence call at Lear's Trailer Park. The crash occurred on Duggin's Lane. Wheeler suffered no injuries. Sergeant Kirt Heider of the New Mexico State Police said the truck's driver was at fault and was found to be intoxicated. The 22-year-old driver was arrested for DWI and cited for failing to yield to an emergency vehicle, driving on a suspended license, and for having no proof of registration or insurance.
