Sports in Alabama: A civilian Piper N78 single-engine aircraft experienced engine failure shortly after takeoff at around 8:00 a.m. and made an emergency landing near Gate 7 of Redstone Arsenal. Three people, including the pilot, were on board and no one was injured. Redstone Arsenal Directorate of Emergency Services, law enforcement, and NASA security officials responded to the scene, and the aircraft was being secured pending investigation and removal.
