Semi truck fire near Pratt closes lanes on US-54

Semi Truck Crash Pratt Pratt Kansas in Pratt, Kansas: A semi tractor-trailer owned by J.S. Helwig & Son, LLC caught fire near the intersection of Highway 54 and Oak near Pratt, Kansas on Thursday morning. The Pratt Fire Department said a brake failure caused the trailer to catch fire. The semi was hauling beef logs from National Beef, and no one was hurt. US-54 was reduced to two lanes as a result of the fire.
