Car Crash West Haverstraw New York in West Haverstraw, New York: An emergency rescue truck operated by the Thiells Fire Department crashed into an occupied home shortly after midnight while responding to a reported boating accident near the Hudson River in West Haverstraw. The underwater search and rescue truck slammed into the first floor of the home, causing extensive damage to the two-story building. The Rockland County Fire Collapse Team was called in to help rescue residents and stabilize the structure. Several people were taken to Nyack Hospital and Westchester Medical Center. Authorities have not said what caused the truck to crash into the building.
