Ramseur mayor breaks ribs in motorcycle crash in Carthage

Motorcycle Crash Carthage North Carolina in Carthage, North Carolina: Hampton "Happy" Spivey, the Mayor of Ramseur, was injured in a motorcycle crash on June 25 in Moore County. According to the Town of Ramseur and the Sandhills Sentinel, Spivey was sitting in a turning lane in Carthage around noon when a Jeep Cherokee allegedly turned into the oncoming path of his motorcycle. The mayor suffered broken ribs and is expected to make a full recovery. The town stated the mayor was not at fault.
