Pedestrian struck on Jericho Turnpike in Woodbury dies week…

Pedestrian Hit Woodbury New York in Woodbury, New York: David Ramos Acosta, 34, of Queens, was struck by a 2005 Honda traveling east on Jericho Turnpike near Village Lane in Woodbury at approximately 9:15 p.m. on Monday, June 8. He suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. Acosta succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by a hospital physician on Monday, June 15, according to the Nassau County Police Department. The driver, a 23-year-old woman, remained at the scene, and no other injuries were reported.
