Pedestrian Hit Riverhead New York in Riverhead, New York: A pedestrian was seriously hurt in a crash in Riverhead, Suffolk County, late Wednesday night around 10 p.m. The Riverhead Police Department received reports of the collision on County Road 58, east of Ostrander Avenue, near the BJ's Gas Station. An investigation revealed the unidentified pedestrian had been struck by a 2021 Ford Ranger while trying to cross County Road 58. He was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious, life-threatening injuries. The 70-year-old driver stayed at the scene and no charges had been filed at that time.
