Dui Crash East Elmhurst New York in East Elmhurst, New York: Michael Pena, 29, an off-duty firefighter from Oakland Gardens, pleaded guilty on July 1 in Queens to charges stemming from a drunk driving crash that killed Justin Diaz, 23, of East Elmhurst. Pena had a blood alcohol content reported between .156 and .17 percent, along with cocaine and marijuana in his system, when he struck Diaz's car at 83 mph shortly after 4 a.m. The crash occurred at the corner of Northern Boulevard and 107th Street in East Elmhurst. Pena faces four to 12 years in prison under the plea deal and was remanded to Rikers Island, with sentencing scheduled for July 16.
