Semi Truck Crash Shenandoah Virginia in Shenandoah, Virginia: Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred just before 3:20 a.m. on Interstate 81 northbound at the 286 mile-marker near the Woodstock exit in Shenandoah County. A 2013 Honda Crosstour was stopped in the right travel lane, possibly after becoming disabled, and the driver, Dennis L. Marshall, 78, of Willow Spring, N.C., got out of the vehicle. Marshall was standing near the front of the Honda when it was struck by a 2011 Freightliner tractor-trailer; the Honda then struck Marshall and the tractor-trailer hit a bridge barrier and overturned. Marshall died at the scene, a passenger in the Honda was transported to an area hospital with injuries, and the tractor-trailer driver suffered minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
