Car Crash Muncie Indiana in Muncie, Indiana: A 35-year-old Muncie woman was arrested on a preliminary Level 6 felony charge of neglect of a dependent after authorities say she left two children unattended inside a silver Dodge Journey outside a Walmart during extreme heat. Walmart security alerted Muncie police after the children had been alone for approximately 10 minutes; security personnel removed them and paramedics transported them to a hospital for evaluation. The outdoor temperature was reported at 91 degrees, and the children were sweating heavily and very hot to the touch. Acosta also had an active warrant for misdemeanor charges of operating a vehicle without a license.
