Motorcyclist killed in four-vehicle crash on I-64 in Hampton

Car Crash Hampton Virginia in Hampton, Virginia: Virginia State Police responded to a four-vehicle crash on eastbound I-64 near the Hampton Roads Center Parkway in Hampton around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday. A 50-year-old woman driving a Ford Escape changed lanes in front of two motorcycles; one motorcycle rear-ended the Escape and caught fire. The 30-year-old motorcycle driver, Andrew Sturdy of Newport News, died from his injuries, while the other motorcycle driver, the Ford Escape driver, and a third-vehicle driver sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a hospital. The crash remains under investigation.
