Assault West Missouri in West, Missouri: A 36-year-old man was charged with first-degree domestic assault, armed criminal action, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child after allegedly stabbing his wife approximately 30 times in St. Louis County. Neighbors called 911 after hearing the victim yelling from her balcony that she was going to die. The victim told police the suspect threatened to kill their 6-year-old child next and then left with her, prompting an AMBER Alert. The child was found safe in St. Louis City, and the suspect was located at a motel in Caseyville, Illinois, where police believe he had attempted to kill himself before they arrived.
