Police Pursuit Crash Macon Georgia in Macon, Georgia: A stalking suspect, identified as James Simmons III, was arrested Tuesday after a vehicle pursuit ended in a rollover crash in South Macon. According to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, deputies attempted to contact Simmons after locating his vehicle, but he fled, leading deputies on a brief chase. The pursuit ended at the intersection of Broadway and Moreland Avenue, where the fleeing vehicle lost control, plowed through a fence and flipped over. Simmons surrendered and was taken into custody; deputies recovered his firearm from inside the truck. He was charged with felony fleeing, criminal damage to property, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, violation of probation, aggravated stalking and aggravated cruelty to animals.
