Vehicle Fire Virginia Beach Virginia in Virginia Beach, Virginia: Four children were injured in an accidental fire pit incident Wednesday night at a Virginia Beach home, according to the Virginia Beach Fire Department. Firefighters and EMS crews were called around 10:05 p.m. to the 7500 block of Atlantic Avenue for a reported brush fire and found a fire pit burning in a driveway that had spread into the yard. Officials said a small container of accelerant was accidentally thrown onto the fire after it was mistaken for water while children were cooking hot dogs. The four injured children, ages 17, 16, and two 5-year-old twins, were evaluated at the scene and taken to a local hospital.
