Car Crash Stafford County On Virginia in Stafford County on, Virginia: A passenger bus driven by 48-year-old Jing Sheng Dong of Staten Island, New York, slammed into stalled traffic ahead of a work zone on Interstate 95 in Stafford County on May 29, 2026. Five people in vehicles died, including the driver of a Suburban and all four occupants of an MDX that was consumed by fire, while numerous other passengers suffered minor to serious injuries. Dong was injured, hospitalized, and later incarcerated at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond. On July 2, 2026, he pleaded not guilty in Stafford Circuit Court to three involuntary manslaughter charges and one reckless driving charge and requested a jury trial.
