Vehicle Fire Arizona Today in Arizona: A brush fire caused a temporary closure of the northbound lanes of State Route 87 on Thursday afternoon, south of where SR 87 meets State Route 188 on the way to Payson, about 80 miles northeast of Phoenix. The southbound lanes were not affected, and the northbound lanes reopened within an hour. No injuries or property damage were reported.
