Bicycle Crash Bakersfield California in Bakersfield, California: A 66-year-old Bakersfield resident, Gabriel Lopez Ortiz, was fatally struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle at the intersection of Calloway Drive and Stockdale Highway in southwest Bakersfield at 12:53 a.m. on June 22. He was transported to Kern Medical, where he died at 1:08 p.m. on June 24, more than two days after the collision. The Kern County coroner's office later identified him.
