Car Crash New York Today in New York, New York: A 34-year-old Alden man, James Phalen, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated after a chain-reaction crash on I-190 southbound in the Town of Tonawanda around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. According to state police, a trooper was on the scene of a one-car crash involving a Dodge Charger when a Dodge Ram driven by Phalen struck a Ford Focus, which then hit the parked state police cruiser, pushing it into the Charger. The trooper, who was standing in the roadway, jumped over the center concrete barrier to the northbound side to avoid being hit. No one was injured.
