Hester, a chicken litter broker from Russellville, Alabama, became trapped in a chicken litter elevator used to load poultry litter into tractor-trailers. His truck was found running and unattended the evening of June 30, and farm workers discovered his body the following morning and called 911. The Lawrence County Coroner ruled his death accidental, caused by blunt force body trauma.
