Dui Crash Bakersfield California in Bakersfield, California: Gregory Lee Fraley, 63, of Bakersfield was killed in a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of California Avenue and Chester Lane around 12:06 a.m. on June 28, 2026. Bakersfield police said Fraley was driving a silver BMW southbound on Chester Lane when a silver Mazda hatchback driven by Gavin Mundschau, 23, entered the intersection westbound against a red light and struck the BMW. Fraley was transported to Kern Medical, where he was pronounced dead at 1:30 a.m. Police determined Mundschau was driving under the influence of alcohol; he was treated for minor injuries and later arrested on charges including gross vehicular manslaughter and DUI causing injury.
