Car Crash Sayville New York in Sayville, New York: A 45-year-old Riverhead man was struck and killed by a Long Island Rail Road train near the Sayville train station on Wednesday evening around 6:15 p.m. The train, running from Hunterspoint Avenue to Montauk and carrying more than 600 passengers, struck the man just east of the Sayville station. MTA Police said he was not authorized to be on the tracks. Suffolk County Police pronounced him at the scene at 6:24 p.m. A preliminary investigation found no criminality, though the investigation remains ongoing.
