Car Crash Berry Alabama in Berry, Alabama: A 24-year-old miner was found unresponsive underground at an active Warrior Met Coal mine in Berry, Alabama, on the evening of July 1, 2026, and later died after being brought to the surface. An initial investigation indicated the death was the result of a machinery accident that occurred underground. The Alabama VCU is working with the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences-Medical Examiner's Office to determine the medical cause and manner of death.
